Windows App issues and frequently asked questions

Q: App interface keeping showing “loading” o “server unavailable”, and not able to show servers list.

A: Windows may have blocked SimpleLink. Please have VPN disconnected. And restart SimpleLink app. If it does not solve the issue, please go to User=> logout, and then exit the app. If you can’t exit, please User=>clear cache, or right click the Simple icon in the bottom right task bar, or ctrl+alt+del to force exit. Then reboot your PC and restart SimpleLink app and re-login.

Q: During App installation, it shows warning about the app contain Trojan virus.

A: This is due to antivirus / windows defender over-sensitive. The app does not contain any Trojan virus. Please give green light.

Q: The network speed is too slow, what should I do if I watch HD video?

A: Subscribed users should not use the free trial server for a long time, the speed of the node will be slowed down as the number of users increase. Please use available-after-payment servers. If the speed is still not ideal, please change to premium or pro plan to increase the speed of the network.

Q: What is the difference between Rule Mode and Global Mode? Will my VPN data be consumed when I visit the domestic websites?

A: When the rule mode is turned on, visiting domestic websites will not be counted as VPN traffic. However, when the global proxy is enabled, all traffic will be counted as VPN traffic. So smart mode is recommended. It also make your navigation online a seamless experience. And cost you less data consumption when browsing domestic sites.

Q: Can I have an independent IP?

A: Yes, according to different needs, the price can be negotiated, please contact customer service.

Q: Why can’t I connect to the international version of LinkedIn after choosing a foreign server?

A: Please do the following:

  • Switch the routing mode to global mode first, then clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Because LinkedIn will judge your actual location based on locally cached Cookies and DNS.
  • In our Smart routing rules, linkedIn is set to use proxy. So users shall be able access the international version of linkedIn
  • If it doesn’t work, change to the global mode to solve it, and then switch back to the smart mode.
